Tamar Shirinian is a cultural anthropologist and former assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her exact date of birth is not published, but her biographical profile indicates she was born around 1982 or 1983, making her approximately 43–44 years old as of 2026.

She holds a Ph.D. and is the author of the 2024 book Survival of a Perverse Nation: Morality and Queer Possibility in Armenia.
